HBCU College Tour
The Project sponsors deserving high school students annually to tour historically black colleges and universities.
Feeding Families
The Project has distributed more than 1,000 Thanksgiving Meal Baskets to local residents since 2008.
Real Estate
The Project purchased its first property in 1997. The 10,000 square-foot building is located in the heart of Cambria Heights at the northeast corner of Linden Boulevard and 220th Street. It has served as a community hub for nearly two decades.
Foreclosure Prevention
The Project successfully administered a Foreclosure Prevention Program in Southeast Queens aided by a $300,000 grant award from New York State.
Leadership Institute
The Project has sponsored a deserving high school young male to attend the three-day Leadership Development Training Workshop held at St. John’s University.
Holiday Toy Giveaway
Since 2008, The Project has distributed more than 1,500 toys in Southeast Queens during the holiday season.
The 1906 Project, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3) registered New York State charity. The Project provides resources and technical expertise to individuals and not-for-profits serving Queens.
